On Tuesday September 15, we were all prepared to give the "grito" of independence in Araro, Mich. My colleagues from the Group Independent Dance "Araro in Motion" and I were getting ready as early as 19:00 pm to go out and have some of the traditional dances of Mexico, when we were informed that they had suspended the event. We decided to find out why such a decision, and we get a big surprise to learn that the stream which passes through the village some colonies had overflowed, causing flooding on some streets and houses of these colonies. The parties concerned were: The Colony of Peaches or clinic, the area of Arroyo where the Elementary school "Jose Maria Morelos" is and the cementary stree and some more. Fortunately there were no human losses or damage to regret. The apparent reason and the main reason is the flood were some dams located in the area known as the puddles a few minutes away from Araro.
Thanks to the support obtained by local authorities and the hard work that had affected families to this day everything seems to have returned to normal, with the exception of some work that continues today.
